Time to have a little fun!!!

I had a chance to see the Robert Cray Band Sunday night at the Sunrise Theater in Ft. Pierce. The Sunrise was a part of the urban redevelopment program in down town Ft. Pierce. The theater opened its doors August 1, 1923. The decline of the down town area forced the closing of the theater in 1983. St. Lucie county preservation society started work on the reopening 1997. Very nice venue...it holds 1200 people....not a bad seat in the house! A new director stepped in this year and has done a great job bringing in well known acts. I was very surprised Robert Cray Band came to such a small venue. It was a great show...all the energy of a major amphitheater. This tour was "Live from across the pond"....the first live CD from Robert Cray Band.
